vipMarcB (Chicago)·Dined a day agoOur server was slow to take our order and then checked back after leaving us for over 10 minutes to order when we could have placed our order during the greeting. Next, we waited 25 minutes to see our server again to ask about the status of our food and a manager followed up 5 minutes later to say the kitchen was backed up. There was no offer to get us anything in the meantime, and no offer of coffee or dessert to excuse the wait time. Was this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood5ambience3service1value3

OpenTable Diner (Chicago)·Dined on April 18, 2017My wife and I went to The Kitchen for dinner before seeing Aladdin at the Cadillac Palace. We had a drink at the bar because we were early. Both of our dinners exceeded our expectations. I had the whitefish and was delighted with the preparation and variety of flavors. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Slagel Farms Beef. She was surprised to see her favorite Beaujolais wine available per glass as we seldom see it offered. We shared the Beignet dessert which was very good. Everyone from the hostess, bartender, and waiters were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We'll be back!Tags: Happy Hour, Waterfront, Vibrant Bar SceneWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood5ambience4service5value4

vipPSdiner (Chicago)·Dined on March 28, 2017The Kitchen has a beautiful space and very friendly service but in my experience the food is hit-or-miss (mostly miss). The turkey and avocado sandwich should be removed from the menu, immediately and permanently. Zero flavor, a miniscule amount of tasteless turkey, and loaded with too many greens making it very hard to eat without making a mess. I left there starving. The experience overall was good but mainly because of very engaging company, not the food. Was this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood1ambience5service5value4

At Sable Kitchen & Bar, the cocktail is king. Nationally recognized as one of the country’s best places to get a truly great drink, Sable puts just as much care into the craft of cocktailing as Executive Chef Shane Graybeal does into our menu of contemporary American small plates, which are designed to complement our head bartender Mike Jones' liquid creations. Drop in anytime for a dose of genuine Chicago hospitality.
